Specialised Substitute Residential Care in NSW

Specialised Substitute Residential Care in NSW

Caring for a child with complex needs takes everything you’ve got. Sometimes your family needs more support than you can give at home, and that’s okay.

Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC) is when your child stays with a care provider for three or more nights in a week, for respite or behaviour support. We give your child a safe, caring place to stay, and we keep you involved every step of the way.

How we can help you

What you can expect from us

We know it isn’t easy to hand over your child’s care, even for a few nights. We get to know your child first: what they love, what upsets them and what helps them feel safe. And we’ll keep you in the loop, so you never feel shut out.

Is this right for you?

If your child has a disability and needs overnight care away from home, for respite, behaviour support or a more stable place to stay, we’re here for you and your family. Your support coordinator or caseworker can also contact us for you.

Want to talk about care for your child? We’ll listen first, with no judgement.
